EVENT: Data Rescue Project Hackathon

Hosted by the Research Data Access & Preservation (RDAP) Association, the upcoming Data Rescue Project Hackathon invites attendees of all skill levels to help capture, describe, upload, and preserve federal datasets at risk of deletion or alteration. The Hackathon is part of a broad community effort launched in 2025 by members of IASSIST, RDAP, and the Data Curation Network, working to create a clearinghouse for data rescue initiatives and sustained access to threatened US government data.

This event takes place virtually on November 13, 2025, at 1 pm EST / 10am PST, and is open to all interested in supporting digital stewardship, transparency, and collective action for data preservation. Participants will receive a session introduction and hands-on guidance from the Data Rescue Project team. To participate, register via Zoom.
