OPPORTUNITY: DLFTeach Leadership Positions

DLFTeach is seeking volunteers for two leadership positions. From the call:

We are seeking new leadership for DLFTeach! The time and energy commitment is minimal, but you will make a big impact. Currently, our most important priorities are sustaining the toolkit and engaging the DLFTeach community.
Here are some ways you can be involved:
Co-Facilitator
  • The co-facilitator helps lead the activities of the working group. You will communicate with DLF, manage projects and programs, and lead the development of the working group.
  • You will be supported in this work by the outgoing co-facilitator, Alex Wermer-Colan (Temple) and the incoming co-facilitator, Mare Lodu (Loyola New Orleans).
  • You will attend a quarterly DLF Working Group leaders meeting to report on the group’s activities and network with other working group leaders.
Toolkit Editor
  • Help continue the DLFTeach Toolkit! Toolkit editors collect and manage submissions for the toolkit and will write a preface on the toolkit’s topic.
  • Is there an area of digital library pedagogy that needs more turnkey lesson plans? Editors decide the topic for each version of the toolkit. Past topics include critical digital literacies, competency driven digital scholarship instruction, and immersive pedagogy.
    • New topics might be: collections as data, responsible use of AI tools, DEIA in digital library pedagogy, teaching with unique digitized collections, or something else
  • You will be supported in this work by the DLFTeach co-facilitators.

If you’re interested in serving on these roles, contact Kayla Abner (kabner[at]udel.edu) or Alex Wermer-Colan (alex.wermer-colan[at]temple.edu) for more information.
