RESOURCE: Considering the Scholarly Edition in the Digital Age

Laurie N. Taylor (University of Florida) has drawn attention to a new resource from the Modern Language Association, “Considering the Scholarly Edition in the Digital Age: A White Paper on the Modern Language Association’s Committee on Scholarly Editions.”

Though intended as “a tool for thinking through a set of pressing questions for the MLA’s Committee on Scholarly Editions,” as Taylor notes, the paper itself is “a fabulous resource for those creating and working with scholarly editions, as well as for more generally thinking about how we evaluate, validate, and value digital work.”
