Proposals are invited for Archives and Resistance: A Virtual Symposium on Digital Preservation and Publication in the Context of African, African American, and Diaspora Studies, to be held February 19–20, 2027. From the call, the symposium focuses on how “researchers, archivists, students, community members, and others are using digital tools and methodologies to recover archival materials and make them available and accessible to expand our understanding of the past and reclaim and promote histories that have been overlooked, suppressed, or erased.” Organizers welcome individual 15-minute presentations and panels of three to four presentations. The symposium is co-sponsored by the Association for Documentary Editing, the Society for Textual Scholarship, Mapping the Black Digital and Public Humanities, African American Digital & Experimental Humanities (AADHum), and eLaboratories.
Proposals are due November 20, 2026.
