The South African Centre for Digital Language Resources (SADiLaR) is hosting their Digital Humanities Colloquium on Wednesday, March 12, to be held virtually at 10:00AM South African Standard Time (SAST). They will be featuring Reggemore Marongedze (University of Zimbabwe), who will be speaking on, “Geographies of Digital Humanities: The Global Mapping of Centres, Projects, Associations, and Academic Programs.”
In this discussion, the speaker will explore the geographies that characterise Digital Humanities, utilising a multilayered conceptual construct to explore the spatial dynamics of Digital Humanities centres, projects, associations and academic programs.
This conversation therefore invites Digital Humanists to envision a DH that is not only globally interconnected but also deep-rooted in local realities, fostering a richer, more inclusive scholarly milieu.
The event is free. Tickets to obtain the meeting link are available at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/digital-humanities-colloquium-featuring-reggemore-marongedze-tickets-1256509316189
