Proposals may fit one of several types, including pre-conference workshops, formal papers, how-to sessions, lightning talks, and Best of the Web, to name a few.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://mw2014.museumsandtheweb.com/" target="_blank">conference</a> showcases &#8220;advanced research and exemplary applications of digital practice for cultural, natural, and scientific heritage,&#8221; and is aimed at a diverse group:</p>
<blockquote><p>You will find webmasters, educators, curators, librarians, designers, managers, directors, scholars, consultants, programmers, analysts, publishers and developers from museums, galleries, libraries, science centers, and archives – as well as the companies, foundations and governments that support them – at Museums and the Web every year.</p></blockquote>
<p>Proposals should be 500 words or less, and at least one author of the proposal must be registered for the conference by December 31. There are different deadlines for different types of proposals, and deadlines begin on September 30.</p>
