Python Basics for Librarians and Archivists is for those completely new to programming. Learn about variables, functions, flow control, lists, and dictionaries. After this course, you will be ready to learn areas like data analysis, data visualization, machine learning, and text analysis.

Introduces operators, expressions, data types, variables, and basic functions

Nathan Kelber is the Constellate Education Manager for JSTOR Labs. He leads community education for the text analysis platform Constellate and is the director of the Text Analysis Pedagogy Institute, a national institute funded by National Endowment for the Humanities.
